The fashion and design institute of Mauritius is partnering with Runway Dubai, a go-to Fashion platform in the United Arab Emirates. The platform launched a fashion tourism Initiative in 2013 and has since then, welcomed over 300 designers from across the world on their platform in Dubai. This year, Runway Dubai has partnered with six countries represented at the Dubai Expo with different themes around the industry like Culture, sustainability, and innovation. Fashion students and established brands will come together to showcase their work and defend their original designs at the international design conference hosted at the Expo 2020 France pavilion Dubai.

The lucky few creatives that have been carefully chosen by the Runway Dubai team will be coming from Mauritius, Egypt, Spain, and the U.A.E. The three-day event will kick off with a fashion show and exhibition at the Expo and live presentations at the Hilton hotel. The presentations will cover innovative design thinking, approach in developing and adopting new methodologies with multi-dimensions to address the sustainable issues post pandemic.
The focus topics for the event are new trends in fashion post covid 19, smart and intelligent textiles, nanotechnology and fashion, fashion and comfort, Eco fashion, luxury products and brands, new contour designs, Eco fashion and inter relation of fashion and materials.

The wide range of topics and participants promises an extremely successful fashion weekend.

“Participating and exhibiting at the expo is an experience of a lifetime”. Says Modupe Omonze, Founder of Runway Dubai and fashion sustainability summit. The Dubai Expo 2020 has seen over twelve million guests and will be closing officially on the 31st of March 2022.
